50% carbs (1500 calories) = 425 g

25% protein (750 calories) = 224 g

25% fat (750 calories) = 105 g

3000 calories per day weigh 754 g  (26.6 ounces) (1.66 lb)

My total food weight for a 6 day trip in the coast mountains was 4.6 kg (10 lb)

On a keto diet, for a 3000 calorie day of backpacking:

5% carbs (150 calories) = 42 g

30% protein (900 calories) = 267 g

65% fat (1950 calories) = 273 g

3000 calorie per day weight  583 g (20 ounces) ( 1.25 lb)

My total food weight for a 6 day trip in the coast mountains is 3.4 kg (7.4 lb)

The conclusion: A total weight savings of 2.5 lb, that’s almost half a pound per day less.
